Following the initial osteotomy, a periapical radiograph (PAR) was obtained. Once calibrated, the silhouette of a 15 × 4 mm implant was superimposed, allowing visualization of the anterior wall and the floor of the maxillary sinus. Correct parallelism between the osteotomies and proper alignment were confirmed.
At position 26, a 5 × 8.5 mm implant silhouette was superimposed. In the second radiograph, two 4 × 15 mm implants can be observed immediately after insertion, confirming accurate depth and angulation.
To obtain this image, one of the depth gauges from the surgical kit was used, inserted into the internal threaded channel of the implant, providing precise intraoperative radiographic control.
